"Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people." Elizabeth Green
Nestled along the shores of one of the clearest spring fed lakes in the world, lies the famous Caves at Johnson's Point. The Caves at Clearwater Lake are a must see in any season when visiting The Pas and area. The 0.8 km hiking trail is a challenging one and even more so if you head into the caves themselves. A panoramic view by the bench at the top of the caves is spectacular, approximately 50' above Clearwater Lake, the scenery takes your breath away.
Recently, I had two friends come up from Winnipeg who wanted to see the views we have here in The Pas. Kyle Schappert and Kevin Dowd, two very well known Manitoban photographers. These guys take every opportunity available to get out of the city and explore Manitoba, documenting their adventures by way of photography/videography. Whether it be landscapes, night photography, spinning wool, aerial shots, they have it all covered. Down to earth, laid back but highly motivated people who continue to push the boundries, angles and locations. Kyle was one of the first guys I followed on Instagram when I first started out, so it was an honour to shoot alongside him again! Kevin, also an Interlaker like myself, is an avid light painter and is a master at spinning wool! Both guys have their own unique style and take of the beautiful places Manitoba has to offer.
I invite you to take a look at their galleries yourself, give them a follow!
Hope you enjoyed the short video of our short adventure at The Caves!
